The Buffalo Club

Last Tuesday night Nick & I decided to head out for a bit of a treat after a hard week & weekend at work! (I have been moving two of my offices to the James St precinct!)

So we decided to try the mid week 'wild buffalo' degustation at The Buffalo Club and it was ah!mazing!!! The mid week special is 5 courses for $70 per person or $120 with matching wines. Of course like any degustation you get a couple of palette cleansers and sweet treats along the way!

Our favorite dishes were the Pork with their version of kim chi, the Beef cheek that was slow cooked for 48hours and the ridiculously divine desert of Strawberry – Chocolate , Meringue & Short Bread which resembled a 'fetta' that I suspect had been dipped in liquid nitrogen! To top it all off we were treated to a strawberry & coconut milkshake with donuts and a banana lollipop!

We have done quite a few degustations and the buffalo club has come very close the top of the list!  (Vue De Monde in Melbourne is yet to be beaten!) Having said that it was the mid week cut down version of their larger, 8 & 12 course degustations so we are yet to see it's full potential!  It certainly did a perfect job at convincing us to go back and try again .. and take friends with!
